Montana Health Professional Licensing Boards

Maximus is the administrative vendor for the State of Montana, Department of Labor and Industry, Employment Standards Division. Under the DLI, we support four healthcare professional licensing boards:

The Nurses Assistance Program (NAP) is provided to assist the Board of Nursing in protecting the public and to offer support and intervention to licensees diagnosed with a substance use disorder, mental health illness or other chronic or physical illness which impairs practice. This program provides state-wide professional assistance in identification, intervention, referral, and monitoring. The program's goal is to ensure safe care throughout Montana by providing direct assistance to licensees with impairment issues.  The program is open to all licensees of the Board of Nursing.

The Program protects the public by providing RNs, APRNs, LPNs, Medication Aides I and II, and other licensed professionals, access to effective treatment services, monitoring their recovery through an individualized plan, and returning them to safe practice.
